Description of goods and services: Model trains mainly in G scale but I tend to have other scales available. I have deregistered for VAT so I probably can't compete on new prices. So I now concentrate on secondhand. I will also carry out installation work fitting digital, sound, lights and wheels using original, new parts if I can find them. I offer advice and by agreement help with setting up railways. Prices quoted are what you pay plus shipping at cost. Negotiable You can pay by cheque, postal order, cash or direct transfer to my business bank account by arrangement. You can also use PAYPAL. I can also accept credit and debit cards including contactless but only when 'customer present' using the SUM UP TM system Delivery by Royal Mail Parcelforce or letter post for smaller items and is at cost. This must be added to the prices shown. As an example an LGB train set weighing about 12 kilos with some extra track) would be around £15 using Parceforce standard, insured. I can send items by 24 hour, 48 hour or special delivery (maximum 10kilos) at extra cost. I will arrange for in-stock items to be delivered within two working days of receipt of your payment. Unless in the case of a new customer when I will wait until a cheque has cleared or a bank transfer is complete. Unless in the case of a trusted customer when I may send items on receipt of payment. You have the right to return goods for whatever reason. If you decide to do this you must inform me within seven working days beginning the day after you receive the goods. The goods must be complete, as received including all original packaging an paperwork and the customer must pay return shipping and insurance. I will send you a cheque for the full amount of the returned goods (less shipping) as soon as I have them here in good condition. Note that this does not apply to items which you have asked me to modify in any way. For example fitting digital decoders, sound systems, extra lights or wheels. Your rights on returning goods which are faulty are not affected by these conditions. |

I have looked again at
how I hold and use my customers data in the light of the
May 25th 2018 GDPR legislation. I have a paper based invoicing system and a copy of the invoices I write with customers name and address are kept in the receipt books I use for 6 years to comply with tax law. These books are kept in a safe place and then destroyed. When I take a credit card payment it is only customer present and the customer always enters their own details so I hold no financial information about anyone. I use SUM UP TM payment terminal. My computer system is protected by paid for NORTON Anti - Virus software updated automatically I think at lest once a day. Please ask if you have any questions about this. Sandy |

Some extra information which you should read |
* All my stock is now almost entirely second hand. Alnynew stock comes with manufacturers warranty. I will of course try to help in the first instance with any assembly or operating problems. |
* If I send the wrong item to you I will correct the mistake at my expense as quickly as I can. |
* Prices quoted are as correct as I can make them but obvious errors will be treated as such |
* I aim to provide a local service so I will deliver free in the immediate area. Alternatively trains can be collected or I will take them to exhibitions. |
* I will deliver over longer distances by post at cost. |
nternet auctions --- Scottish Garden Railways do not trade on any on-line auction sites. I might buy a big collection or the odd item I was looking for but my business is to sell a garden railway service to customers (many of who become friends). --- Internet auctions |
